Presentation to Utah Attorney General's Youth Advisory Committee

October 18th

The Subortus Project's Director of Operations, Jenna Tran, is a high school junior who currently serves as a member of the Utah Attorney General's Youth Advisory Committee. The Committee invited The Subortus Project to give a presentation on Industry 4.0 technologies and how they can promote sustainable manufacturing and consumerism in the apparel industry.

Industry 4.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and digital twins, can make production processes efficient and environmentally sustainable. However, some apparel corporations selectively invest in the technologies, going for faster but not necessarily eco-friendly or recyclable production processes. These corporations partake in the fast fashion trend. "Technology is a choice," The Subortus Project emphasized to an audience of thirty committee members.
